This is workshop and there will be work. You will meet industry peers. There’ll be excellent champagne and delicious, vegan & vegetarian smørrebrød. Together we’ll solve some problems.
Ultimate sweetspot for attendees would be:
- problem-solvers;
- based in Zürich;
- maybe Seth Godin fans; and
- epicureans.
You will:
- learn & apply Seth Godin’s unknotting approach to problem-solving;
- solve a problem & help solve someone else’s problem;
- meet and mingle with local marketing peers IRL;
- taste delicious refreshments;
- feel great.
Where is it?
A 9-min ride / 14-min walk from Zürich HB, at Hohlstrasse 86c, 8004. (Public transport)
When is it?
Wednesday, 18th November, from 16h49 until 18h49.
Wow — a focused, late afternoon marketeers’ workshop near Zürich HB, where I can apply Seth Godin’s latest thinking, taste great food & delicious champagne, and meet peers! How do I reserve my spot?
Spaces are limited so we all get to mingle with each other. Places will be allocated via a secondary-price auction. Here’s a worked example of this calm, bid-what-you-want-and-get-it-for-less type of auction, which allows multiple winners.
- Send an sms to +41789007589
- stating WORKSHOP + your full name + your bid in CHF
- before the deadline, 3rd November at 23h59 (Tuesday).
- Winners will be notified and get a Twint payment request on Wednesday 4th.
Wait — there’s more…
Top bids will also win unsigned, hardback copies of Seth’s latest book, The Knot.
I look forward to seeing you again, or meeting you in real life in a few weeks!
Joseph
ANSWERS to QUESTIONS
I can expense this workshop, will you send an invoice?
Great! Winners who request an invoice will receive one.
How much should I bid?
Value is subjective and relative.
-
Subjective approach: think about a focused, professional workshop you attended in a central location. Add Seth’s latest hardback book, The Knot (RRP $22). Imagine a delicious glass of premier cru champagne and some mouth-sized flavour-bombs. Round it off with intimate networking among your local peers. Picture all that, then send your bid.
-
Relative approach: think what your local peers are likely to bid, then add a franc or two, so your bid beats theirs.
-Remember: i) you know best what something is worth to you; and ii) the beauty of a secondary-price auction is if you’re among the winners, you’ll pay less your bid. Trust yourself.
What are smørrebrød?
Smørrebrød are Scandinavian-style open sandwiches. The bread is from Danish baker & artist Søren Berner: Sørenbrøt. Toppings will be vegan and vegetarian. I’ll prep them so you can eat, drink and talk at the same time.
Can you tell me more about the champagne?
It’s fucking great. An extra brut, premier cru champagne. Wedding-level stuff: balanced minerals & fruit, rounded taste, fine bubbles. (Not the shitty, blunt prosecco that Zürcher pensioners & teenagers drink.)
Who are you?
I love connecting people with bright ideas. I enjoy crafting bold messages that change people’s behaviour. And I value Seth’s work.
I have another question
Send your question by sms (not Whatsapp, not Telegram) to 0789007589 stating WORKSHOP QUESTION + your question. I’ll answer it here.
