On incompleteness.
The juxtaposition of incomplete ideas by contemporary and classical composers in TORSO, a concert of sketches and fragments given the wonderful pianist Marino Formenti, reminded me that:
- creativity is the transposition of one thing into the the context of another; and
- Incomplete thoughts — moments of creative risk and experimentation — provoke completions.
Incompleteness is inherent to my injection of flow into my creative writing and mind gardening.
