Extend geofencing, which is already used for livestock (/farm animals), to domestic animals (pets) to protect urban / peri-urban birds from catassins, and humans’ recreational spaces from dogshit.
If humans have chosen to domesticate particular animals, then may we put bounds on those animals’ liberty?
Geofencing and electronic monitoring of people charged with and/or convicted of certain crimes, both positively and negatively.
e.g. positively (stay within this area) Roman Polanski’s chalet detention in Gstaad prior to his defeat of U.S. prosecutors’ extradition request; keep cat within defined radius of home.
e.g. negatively (don’t enter his area) ?stalking, hate-crime, sexual offences, drug addiction; exclude dogs from sports fields, pick-nick sites, children’s playgrounds.
